I don't let my sarcasm bring me down...
I am a 26 year very old cynic with an amazing sense of humour. I don’t let the fact that I am sarcastic bring me down. I have accepted it with open arms and I have come to terms with the fact that it is going to help me through the upcoming challenges in my life. Not that I am anticipating challenges but I know that every human being experiences hurdles every now and then.
Why I am the perfect candidate for this…
I apply my sarcasm in the writings I do. I also want more followers on Twitter. Every now and then I want to get a little validation from the twitterverse by getting a mention or two or even an RT, if that’s not too much to ask.
Shakespeare wrote, “If music be the food of love, play on. Give me excess of it.” And I say “If an RT or a mention be the food of self-esteem tweet @ me!” And I know that JC will get me one or two followers who will suck up to me because I am an intern on JC.
In all honesty, I would like to be a veteran journalist at the end of my days. One who always brought in correct facts and what the readers want to read. I want my internship on JC to train me. I would like to penetrate the South African market because it is wider and I also would like to be taught the industry by the hostile internet habitants who are not afraid to voice their opinions because they are hiding behind usernames. I know most of these opinions are based on the truth. They will help me hone my writing, my story-telling amongst other things.
Your boss is on holiday...
The very first thing I would do is do a very extensive research on the latest entertainment news every end of the day. I would then write a minimum of five short blog tidbits every evening. And in the morning I would do a browse of the wild wild web to make sure that nothing new came up. I would then “at intervals” post them during the course of the day---making sure that after each post I retweet comments and reply as many tweeps as possible the Just Curious way.
When there is a little down time on the streets in terms of the latest news, I would construct very creative tweets on any trending topic or make up one of my own or even explore an old one… For example, the following are not mentioning any names but if someone knows the songs, they may find humour in it.
e.g. “This old love has me bound but the new love cuts deep.” SheProbablyAHoe
“I’m down for whatever.” SheProbablyAHoe
“Why am I still tweeting at 3am?” SheProbablyAHoe
And last but not least, I have also noticed that you also post questions every now and then. I would do that whenever I see that there hasn't been any incoming news to write home about in a little while.
If it is really quiet, I would get up to some mischief and poke a very sensitive celebrity, who usually takes the littlest things seriously. Nothing for them to run to the court and sue JC about.
If this is not cool enough, I am willing to learn more tactics!!
